Anyone with a valid CCW no longer needs to run a background check to buy a g#n, your card is all you need to walk out the door the same day without any chance of a delay! This also applies to 19 & 20-year-olds that used to have an automatic 10 day wait! You can now show your card & walk right out with your new weap#n the same day!
Located in Fordland, MO, just 20 minutes east of Springfield, MO, on Route 60, at U Hwy.
You will be charged $50 for the class, which will be paid to your instructor, plus an additional $20 that you will receive back from Mountainside in the form of a gift certificate to buy the ammo you'll need for the class.
Due to safety/insurance reasons related to past issues with people using improperly reloaded ammo, all ammo used on our range must be purchased here.
So, no, you may not bring your own ammo.
You don't need to know anything about g#ns to take this class.
There is no need to be worried, embarrassed, or anxious about taking this class or the practice sh##ting.
This will be a very comfortable experience no matter how much or little knowledge or experience you have.
There is nothing our experts haven't already seen or questions they haven't heard.
Our instructors will make sure you are comfortable & safe with your weap#n before you leave.
So quit putting it off, get registered & let's keep you & your family safe.
You may bring your own weap#n, or you can rent one for $10.
Don't bring the biggest g#n you can find to show off, bring the g#n you are most likely to carry in real life so you can be taught to practice using it correctly, accurately & safely.

Although it's true that you don't need a permit to carry in MO, the reason to get your permit, beyond the obvious safety benefits of taking the class, is because it allows you to carry your weapon in the 37 other states that honor MO's permits.
This class is both indoor classroom work & outdoor shooting. Please dress appropriately.
We will break for lunch.
Mountainside has jerky, chips & other snack foods for sale or you can bring lunch.
At the end of this class, you will receive the certificate you'll need to get your permit.
You will not receive a concealed carry permit at this class.
You will still need to take this certificate to your home county's Sheriff's Dept. to get your actual permit.
